Subject:                                         9-14-26 THOUGHTS

 

Paul crosses physical boundaries here.  His encouragement is from afar and in the spirit rather than in person.  Give thought to the possible opportunities that are here.  “Good order” and “firmness of faith” are key expressions.  We must walk our faith!  The “rooted and built up in him and established in the faith...” imply foundation... root system!   I love the “abounding in thanksgiving.”   Few  words this morning...  big ideas.  

Col 2:5-7    For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.  6  Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,  7  rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Our Prayer:
Father,  we thank You for our existence as Your creation and in Your creation.  Bless us as we seek to found ourselves in You through Jesus.  Help us to have a strong disciplined order as we search for a closer  walk with You, and abide in Your presence.  As we see You blessing us, may we abound in thanksgiving.  This is good for us to praise and honor and thank You as the only true and living God.   In our Savior’s name,   Amen.
